Are you miles away from your Automower dealer location? Has it been years since your mower got a firmware update? Do you want to change a board on your mower that requires a firmware update?

SmartDots is pleased to offer a unique service for Husqvarna Automowers that enables the ability to connect to the Automower remotely and run diagnosis, update firmware or calibrate its sensors etc. Our Horizon service enables us to connect to your mower remotely, no matter where you live, as long as you have a reasonable internet connection.

As authorized dealers/AAP partners, SmartDots is authorized to perform any kind of work on Automowers. Until FOTA is available on all mowers in the future, the current models such as 315X, 430X, 450X etc still require the mower to be physically connected to the computer of an authorized dealer and perform diagnostics and firmware update using the "Auto Check" software which is only made available to the dealers. While dealers cannot share this software with end users, SmartDots has developed a methodology to be able to connect to the Automower remotely and push firmware updates and/or perform diagnostics using the AutoCheck software, without physically being present.

Whether you want to change the main board, the comm board or HMI board, all of which require a firmware update, this service will enable the capability without the need for the end user to take the mower physically to the dealer. When changing boards, all we need from you is to be a little handy and know that by working on the mower yourself, you will be voiding the warranty (if the mower is still under warranty). If you are just getting a firmware update and/or diagnostics done, the warranty will still stay intact. Warranty will only be impacted, if there is a need to open the mower to change a specific hardware. In such a scenario, we strongly recommend to take the mower to your closest authorized dealer when the mower is still under warranty.

It is a perfect service to avail each year, to keep the Automower updated with the latest firmware, while also getting a full diagnostic run on the mower that can help identify any underlying issues early.

Note: Due to availability of limited Horizon gateways, in case of high demand it is possible that the service may get a bit delayed. In such a situation, we will reach out to the impacted customers proactively , while trying to mitigate the delays by programming more gateways or by other means. Customers may be added to a waiting list with an estimated time frame provided to them during peak season demand such as early spring.
