The dust seal is installed at the port where the cutting motor assembly is installed on the main chassis of the mower. This part is specifically for the Automower 435X and 535 AWD models. Some older mowers did not have the dust seal installed from the factory. It is therefore a good practice to check this and install it for longevity of the mower's operation.
