Robotic lawn care just hit a new level of capability and precision with the introduction of the Navimow X4 Series from Segway Navimow, a lineup built for gentle turf performance and rugged all-terrain power. Featuring advanced four-wheel drive, smart navigation, and fast, thorough mowing, the X4 Series is engineered for large, challenging residential landscapes.
Rugged Performance Meets Smart Automation
At the heart of the X4 Series is its advanced all-wheel drive (AWD) system, designed for confidence on a variety of surfaces — from steep slopes to tall or uneven grass. With the ability to climb slopes up to 84% (about 40°) and navigate obstacles up to 2.8 inches high, the X4 Series is made to handle yards that would overwhelm traditional robotic mowers.
But power isn’t everything — this mower also operates turf-friendly. Its front wheel zero-turn and patented lawn-safe steering significantly reduce turf damage during pivoting and tight turns, a common downside with other high-traction robots.
Precision Cutting, Fast Coverage
Mowing performance takes center stage with the X4 Series thanks to the MowMentum™ cutting system. This includes:
- Dual high-power motors for consistent performance even through dense or tall grass
- A 17-inch cutting width, large enough to dramatically reduce mowing time on big lawns
- Reinforced blades designed to deliver a clean, even cut across the yard
- Intelligent cutting algorithms and EdgeSense technology to ensure tidy, edge-to-edge results.
In practical terms, this means the X4 can mow extensive yards — up to 1.5 acres — efficiently and thoroughly, especially when compared to smaller mowers.
Smarter, Easier Setup — No Antenna, No Hassle
Unlike older robot mowers that required physical perimeter wires or antennae, the X4 Series embraces wire-free setup and intuitive auto-mapping. Drop the mower on your lawn, and it begins learning your space out of the box.
Smart onboard navigation combines real-scene maps and visual editing tools, so you can fine-tune where and how the mower works right from the app.
Intelligent Obstacle Avoidance
The X4 Series uses advanced sensors and panoramic avoidance technologies to detect obstacles — from garden furniture to play equipment — reducing bumps, stops, and frustrating interruptions.
This makes the X4 not just powerful, but adaptive: it responds in real time to changes in the landscape and avoids surprises that used to require human intervention.
Pure Power for Large Lawns
The series includes different models tailored to property size, with the X430 designed for lawns up to around one acre and larger variants for bigger yards.
Whether you’re maintaining an expansive backyard or preparing your grounds for the season’s biggest yard parties, the X4 Series promises to cut more grass, faster, and with less work from you.
A New Standard in Robotic Lawn Care
The Navimow X4 Series marks a shift away from basic automation toward fully capable landscape robotics — combining power, precision, and intelligence in a form factor built for real-world lawns. It’s not just another mower; it’s a solution for homeowners who want professional results without the sweat.

Is the X4 the Right Mower for My Yard?
The Navimow X4 Series delivers advanced technology, innovative design, and impressive power. However, it is not the ideal mower for every type of yard. The X4 performs best in certain conditions, which are outlined below.
Yards Where the X4 Excels
Open yards with limited tree cover - The X4 works best in yards with less than approximately 30% tree canopy coverage. While the mower includes vision-based navigation, it still relies primarily on RTK positioning for accurate guidance. Heavy tree cover can interfere with RTK signals and may impact overall performance.
Yards with steep slopes - Lawns with significant inclines or steep slopes are well suited for the X4. Its all-wheel-drive (AWD) design is specifically engineered to handle challenging terrain where many robotic mowers struggle.
Rugged or uneven yards - If your yard includes uneven ground, elevation changes, dips, or thresholds, the X4 is a strong choice. It is designed to handle rugged terrain and maintain consistent performance across varying surfaces.
Relatively open yards with minimal tight corners - The X4 is ideal for open layouts that do not include many tight corners, narrow passages, or intricate landscaping. Due to its longer body and turning mechanism, the mower may not reach very tight corners or small nooks, and some minor touch-up mowing may be required in those areas.
