Wired Mowers: No Loop Signal when two mowers are installed side by side.

Wired Mowers: No Loop Signal when two mowers are installed side by side.

Symptoms: The Automower reports "No Loop Signal" error, even though it continues to mow. This issue was observed when two different Automowers were installed next to each other.

Cause:  When two mowers are installed next to each other to cover larger areas, chances are that the boundary wires are within 2-3 feet of each other. The mowers usually come with the same frequency programmed for the loop signal. Depending on the direction of signal flow on each of the boundary wires, the signal may get cancelled, even though it is from two different mowers. Due to this the mower may perceive it as "No Loop Signal" and the error is thrown.

Resolution:

The issue can be easily resolved by generating a new loop signal on any one of the two mowers. This will generate a signal with new frequency and the issue will not impact any more.

In order to do this follow the steps below,

1. Dock the mower in the charging station

2. Press the Stop Button to open the keypad hatch and enter the pin code when prompted

3. In the menu go to Security>> Advanced >> New Loop Signal

4. Select Option to generate a new loop signal

5. Monitor to assess if the issue is resolved. If not, then reach out to Smartdots at support@smart-dots.com
